Sub, what's needed to get NPVR to recognize the Hauppauge Colossus? I have it installed, drivers installed, and the ir remote is working, but no sign of the Colossus in NPVR yet. I assume I need to add an entry to AnalogDevices.xml, or add a section to config.xml.

I have had an HD-PVR running previously, so the playback stuff should be OK.

The current release doesnt have Colossus support. The next release should work with it though. It's only a few days away.

Thanks sub, that's the risk in being an early adopter ;-) Waiting with baited breath (ugh) for the new release.

OK sub, I've got npvr2.0.3 running, and it seems (?) to see the Colossus, but it's shown as an HD-PVR. When I configure it, the channel assignment goes OK, but the channel changer info (I use firewire) isn't sticky - looking into nvpr.db3, there are no entries in the HDPVR_RECORDER table, other than the field names.

If I try to do a quick record, it fails and complains about not finding the crossbar filter. The installed filter is named "Hauppauge Colossus Crossbar" but it looks a though npvr is looking for a filter named "Hauppauge HD PVR Crossbar".

Logs and filtercheck attached.

Continuing to worry this thing, I removed the residual hdpvr drivers (hcwhdpvr.* stuff) from the system. It is likely there are hdpvr registry entries left - cleaning out after Hauppauge is a pain. After removing the hdpvr drivers, the Colossus works fine with the Wintv7 & Arcsoft software, but npvr v2.0.3 doesn't appear to detect or configure the Colossus.

Starting from a fresh install of v2.0.3, empty db, there is an HDPVR device (it does not say Colossus), but the configuration is not sticky, the HDPVR_RECORDER table remains empty. I can assign channels, but it's pointless since the Colossus isn't being used by npvr.

Is there any problem with multiple PCIe devices? I have an HVR2250 in the same box - it's working fine.

Sorry - I'm not ignoring you. I've got you post sitting in another tab in my browser to answer. Just waiting for quiet moment to reboot and insert my Colossus card so I can double check a couple of things here. Should hopefully have time today.

No worries, I thought you might have to dig out the hardware...

Can you zip and attach your npvr.db3 file?
