Hi,

I'm hoping I can use the window class to target NPVR for remote commands, using IR Server suite.

Is it a constant, and if so, what is it?

I can't seem to find any easily available application that will tell me.

This is kind of hidden to .NET applications, so NPVR doesnt really have any visibility of it, and cant explicitly set it. Behind the scene's the name is auto generated by .NET, and can change from release to release if I make change to the Windows Form. Spy++ currently shows the window classname as "WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.33c0d9d"

You'd probably be better off looking for the window name rather than the classname.

Thanks. I thought about using the window title, but that changes depending on what channel you're watching - ie nPVR - BBC2 etc, so I don't think it will work, unless IR Server suite can understand a wildcard somehow. I will experiment with that. (Unless you mean something else by window name?)

I have it working very nicely by targetting NextPVR.exe, but as soon as I enable another instance for the MVP it stops working.

Most apps that match window names ignore any trailing " - blah blah blah" text. I've no idea what IR Server Suite does.

hmmm, that's the same window class as pvrx2 had...it doesn't change as often as you'd think..
IIRC it was way back in gbpvr.exe that it changed last i think...so you should be good using the class name..

All working very nicely with the window class as the target, I did give the window title a try, but it stopped working as soon as I changed channel, as expected.

Thanks for your help.
