Hoborg,

I'm using VMR9 with the ATI 4200 GPU onboard. I'm also using PDVD10 for the MPEG2 decoder from your SAF pack but I had to change audio decoders to ATI MPEG for MPEG audio and the AC3 filter for AC3 audio. On ATSC channels in 1080i, my cpu usage averages 15%.

And you don't have such issues when playing MPEG-2 source? Maybe becouse they are h.264,progresive or this only happend on SD...?

No, I don't have that issue with either HD or SD broadcasts. The only time I have an AR issue is with DVD playback, which I fix by windowing the screen then going back to full screen, after that it is fine.

Then you are not using DxVA or HW deinterlacing.

I'm using DXVA (had to change a registry setting to get it to work) and the Catalyst Control Center is showing that I have it doing the deinterlacing. Checking in both Graphedit and Media Player Classic show them both working.

@Daldana:

MPC-HC doesn't have such VMR9 problem on all VMR9 renderers variant the have - no idea how they "fix" it.

It's not a problem MPC-HC would have to deal with, because of the different type of UI (like window resizes to the video resolution), they never need to set SetOutputRect() to anything other than 0,0,1,1.

I have no idea how they make it working. But you can "deform" AR using num pad keys in MPC-HC.

You'll notice if you're fullscreen, and you do this, the OSD will move with the video, which is something we dont want. We need stuff like the show information OSD etc to anchored to the bottom of the screen, not displaying half way up the screen because we're watching a widescreen movie.
