Hey, my machine is JTV: there was a new development tonight: it crashed while watching the recording that was still in progress.

Quote: NextPVR.exe

ntdll.dll

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll

I am will to start all over if I just don't have to configure all the channels again. Just tell me what to save and what to delete.

Thanks

If you create a c:\temp directory, does a c:\temp\crash.mdmp file get created when this problem happens?

This crash dump file shows it crashing (in psisdecd.dll) when watching a recording or live tv. Is this actually the problem you were trying to describe?

No. It did crash once tonight from a Windows Update I think.

I installed NPVR three or 4 times from when you started developing. I may not have deleted/disabled everything properly when going back to GBPVR. I am sticking with NPVR for good now.

Do you think I should wipe the computer and start from scratch?

Ok, that must have been a crash from earler live tv or playback session, not the problem you're specifically interested in right now.

To be honest, I dont know. I've got no idea what the problem is.

Either way, you'll probably have to change versions of psisdecd.dll to ensure you dont get that crash in future. Replacing this file can be tricky, but there was discussion about it a few days ago in another thread.

He said in the first message that he's running Win 7 64 & I thought the replacing psisdecd.dll was only for an XP problem??

That is what I was wondering. I don't have .net studio installed for a debug, but I could if it would help. I looked over the crash logs:

There was only one psisdecd.dll crash, the rest are from clr20r3

I found this post with crazy comments about debug hell with the error: http://geekswithblogs.net/steveclements/...r20r3.aspx

Yeah, good point. I dont know. I've never seen a crash reported in psisdecd.dll other than on XP. I just rechecked your crash.mdmp to make sure I'd checked the right file, and definitely shows a crash in psisdecd.dll. I dont really have any suggestions for you on that one.
