LOL, vi is certainly unix style but what I mean by this is not to save CR/LF to the file and this has both. The NMT's support unix style LF only text. If you edited your npvr.cgi file with this you need to save LF only.
I knew what you meant originally....about CR/LF windows...I am trying to see how gVIM does good old fashioned DOS2UNIX conversions........what is the best/easiest editor to use for this.
It's a personal choice, the survival guide links to editpad+ and another popular editor notepad++ does it to. Alternatively you can get a win32 version of dos2unix
Thanks again...for all your help.....Sorry for the inconvenience. I think I am close...The good thing is that by looking at the scripts...it is clearer to me how all this comes together and functions..
Ok, if you need anything else let me know. There is nothing magical about the mvpmc share, it can be any share even one of your NFS shares, but I only support the mvpmc share to make my life easier.
I fixed the CR/LF and it is working now. Thanks again!
Next questions:
1) Navigation is tad slow..... does DirectX have anything to do with this, or is this just a function of the A110s processor. My DirectX is not functioning with the native NPVR GUI....just want to make sure that isn't a contributer here....didn't think so.
2) How do I get to the Video Libraries screen? Clicking around and cannot find it. All I see is the Ready Recordings screen, which has nothing in it because I move all those to my Video Library every night. In the NPVR setup, I have my drives already configured for the Video Library.
3) My TV is Extended Definition, slight less than 720p --- should I set it to 1080p anyways (on PCH and mvpmcx2?), and let the TV downconvert it. Or should I just leave everything at 720p as that is closer to my viewing resolution? I know you mentioned things look better at 1080p...but my TV is not capable of that.
4) After I get this one setup... can I simply add the share to my 2nd PCH A110 -- or do I need to do a NMTinstall2 again, against that A110 bridge MAC address?
Found the "source button" takes me to the video library. Yippie! Now I can stream a previously unstreamable show without remux! Thanks Martin!
I would love to change the skins though.... I get a big blank box, with a title under the middle if I am on it...
I do not know how to fast forward the way I used to with native NMT. For instance..if I want to quickly index ahead, I can use the navigation buttons to quickly move to specific time....say 5 or 10 minutes into a show. Here, the only way I have figured out how to move forward is FF, which is not very fast.
Any pointers there would be great... Making progress!

Go the menus at the top of the screen and change the view.

If you want to skip forward 5 minutes, press '5'-skip. 10 minutes, press '10'-skip. etc.

I suspect you are seeing "Covers View" & you don't have any cover art or metadata so it's a tad blcnk, if you press the up arrow the hidden menu should show up & then you can select "View" to change to one of the other options.
