Sorry Sub I may not have been clear. Running the exe you gave us earlier did the crash thing as did the second 1. The new binarys were copied over the existing ones and running that exe still crashed. Running the app from the shortcut was OK.

I started the app, did the 5 second 45 button press in the list view in videos (the test 1 you sent) followed by the same with the MCE.

Somethings odd, even with auto-repeat that would be pretty fast typing. You might are getting them too fast to process, not too slowly.

Using the binaries you posted;-
I've rebooted, used the kb to start nPVR, then used the mouse to navigate to Videos\Test. Used the Hauppauge rc to scroll for 5 secs
I think we're getting to the crux of it. I think your remote is send the real key, along with lots of other invalid keys, at the app is processing them all....but I wonder what those invalid ones are.

Try the attached patch and repost the logs. It logs what each key it receives is.

I get about 20 repeats per second with my MCE remote or keyboard, so it wouldnt have been out of the question, but as I mentioned above - I think we're getting other keypress events too, not just the key he pressed.

Herer you go Sub. Same method as before, went to videos via keyboard then used MCE to scroll down, keyboard to return to top then 45 button to scroll down again. Hope this helps Smile

For every key you press, your remote is delivering the following keys to NPVR for processing:

ie, lots of spaces then each letter in 'NAVIGATE DOWN', then the real down key press.

Can you zip and attach your irremote.ini file?

I wonder if the comments in http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ttonRemote are causing this? This doesn't look like a good way to comment an ini file.

Good spotting Sub. I see the words (line by line) "navigate down" in there too.

Iremote.ini attached. The npvr part is a copy and paste from the wiki
