Hi sub!

I am not sure if this was mentioned before, but since the first npvr version, there is a bug/problem with displaying thumbnails.

[Image: zwischenablage02mu60.jpg]
As you can see above here, there are a few empty fields. Normally there are not so much of them (in most cases 2 or 3... sometimes it will be displayed a folder icon instead the right picture -> cache problem).

[Image: zwischenablage03ru63.jpg]
Now you can see, that the picture will be displayed, if i highlight the file.

And here, this one is new since nPVR 2.03, you can see that the picture disappears after moving the selection to another video (before 2.03 the picture stayed on the display if it was onetime highlighted).

Of course i deleted the thumbnail cache a few times, but this didn't helped really. Is there a file limitation of thumbnails?

Another nice feature (more a wish) were the ability to use .png files as folder graphics (because of their transparency channel).

If it is like everywhere else in NextPVR it will display png's if you rename them as .jpg so you can have the transparent qualities.....but it would be nicer if it displayed them without having to rename heaps of image files.

I was saying rename folder.png to folder.jpg....., I just tried it here & it worked fine in Videos & also for the channel icons in the TV Guide Wink

Yeah, you're right! It seems to work, i even have the transparency effects. Thank you for the hint. I am not a fan of renaming extensions to a wrong format, but in this case (only limited to the folder images) it shouldn't be a big problem.

Ok... now, where i have my finest transparency Symbols, i have to look to remove the original folder icons just for those ones, who have their own pictures. ;D

Just take a closer look to the green image around the inner circle (you can see the folderpicture behind it). ^^;

This patch should add folder.png support.

Just great, it works as it should. Thank you!

Any idea about the display "problem" of the first post? ^^;

I sometimes see this when I load a duplicate image.
Are all the disappearing images duplicates of ones already in the grid?

Can you see if this helps?

Even the "Sissi" picture isn't the same. This are 3 pictures with very small differences (very small numbers on the cover from 1 to 3).

I will observe this a few days with this patch and response in ~2-3 days. Thank you again. ^^

EDIT:
Yes, the thumbnails of the videos seems to be displayed better, but if i go up to the previous folder structure, then there are no pictures anymore on the folders. oO

Mhm... curious.
Applied the patch
Emptied the thumbs folder
Started nPVR
Browse into the FSK 12 subfolder, thumbnails created fully
back to the upper hierarchy
Browse into the FSK 16 subfolder, thumbnails created fully
back to the upper hierarchy
Browse into the FSK 18 subfolder, thumbnails created fully
back to the upper hierarchy
thumbnails/pictures of the subfolders disappeared

I'm not sure on that one.

If you can dummy directory structure that exhibits the porblem, containing directories and some small file (like a text file) renamed .avi, and some jpg/png files, then zip it up and post it, then I'll try the same thing here with your files.
