While trying to add a second video card to supplement my ATI All-inWonder HD, I got a message when I tried Live TV as a test: Unable to locate filter tuner(ATI BDA Digital Tuner). I went to Settings and Devices and this is how the card was shown.

So I apparently did something to "Win XP" or drivers. Can I tell NPVR to "go to that card" again?

I think I was trying something "unworkable"....a second video card is apparently not "allowed." AMD/ATI said the AIW won't work properly with a second card in the system.

Oh well...

Thanks in advance! NPVR works great when a semi-noobie isn't throwing curves at it!

Reproduce the problem, then zip and post the npvr.log and nrecord.log and I'll take a look.

I got it again when trying to update my ATI AIWHD card driver. It took several tries to remove the old drivers, as directed, then install the latest. And it never seemed to take properly. I started getting "Windows Found New Hardware" windows and something was obviously unrecognized. Eventually I gave up and did a Restore from a backup. So I'm fine now and won't try "fiddling" for a while.

Here are the two log files, for your academic interest. Also, a screen shot I took of Device Manager with the "New Hardware" items showing Yellow question marks that mean problems. Assuming I did the attachment/zip stuff correctly...

Thanks. Again, I restored my computer to a day or two earlier, so it is not a burning issue. NPVR is back to working great, as usual. But it might be nice to know how to handle that "Unable to find tuner filter" error message, just in case.

Yeah, I reckon you're out of luck on that one. I'm guessing the drivers just dont support it.
