Ha, I think i know what the problem is then. I think i broke the secondary monitor feature when I fixed the taskbar issue a while back. I'll get a fix out to you soon as I can.

Yep, that fixed the secondary monitor issue, thanks -- however, now when I play anything that's not 4x3 not only doesn't it go into full screen automatically, but when I make it go full screen, the screen goes black. I can still hear sound, but there's no picture, and when I hit esc, it quits the player.

I need to check and see why the fullscreen thing isn't working. By the way, if you program a remote button to simulate a keystroke of f the program should take you into fullscreen. If it doesn't then I might have some issue with secondary screens. please check if the f keystroke works (or you can just hit f on your keyboard to test it).

Do you have any problem with the player when using IE directly on your TV? My program just uses an imbedded IE browser, so it should function similarly to IE. Can you confirm this for me? It might be a silverlight issue.

I've confirmed that everything works as expected in IE (or any other browser) -- I'm running the latest version of silverlight... And whether I use the "full screen" button or hit f on the keyboard, while viewing anything that is 16x9 content (I used "The Big Lebowski" as a test) the screen goes black -- with 4x3 content, it works fine, and goes into fullscreen automatically on play.

OK, but the movie at least tried to go full screen when you hit the f button, correct? That will help me narrow down the error.

Does the fullscreen work properly if you don't use the second monitor, or if you switch the primary and secondary monitors?

Well, the screen goes completely black -- so the play/pause button and ff/rew slider do go away, so I'm thinking, yes, it does try to go fullscreen, but for some reason when it does, and (I'm guessing) the content doesn't "fit" on my display, instead of scaling, it's doing something funny with the display, so it ends up black, perhaps even rendering off-screen. The title I'm testing with doesn't have an HD version, so I don't think it's that -- but it's widescreen, so it's probably 720 px wide and 16x9 whereas my display is 640px wide and 4x3, which the silverlight app itself (when used in a browser) doesn't have issues with, but for some reason, your app does.

I'll be darned if I'm going to throw away a perfectly good monstrous CRT tv just to watch netflix with my remote! Smile Your software is pretty much my last hope of doing so with my htpc, as I can't seem to get WMC to work like I want it to, and their netflix app has some showstopper issues on my setup too (all the recent 4x3 tv content only fills the middle 1/2 of the screen), and it's Sloooow.

I dunno if any of this helps, but my setup is a 1024x768 LCD monitor as my primary display and a 36" SDTV as secondary -- It's all running on an Asus m2npv-vm, using the onboard graphics for both displays.

Sorry, I missed your second question. Interestingly, No! Even on the primary monitor the screen goes totally black when I put it in fullscreen mode, for that title, and does not start in fullscreen mode. In other words the same exact behavior as on the secondary display. Other titles do start in fullscreen and display fine.

When running it on your primary montior did you uncheck "use secondary monitor" in teh options screen? If not, does that make a difference. (basically trying to figure out if it is my program or some behavior of the IE webbrowser).

Another question, how do you have the monitors stacked (virtually)? Is the 2nd monitor above/below the primary, or an extension to the right? Any difference if you change that?
