I won't be able to check it for a week or so. Maybe someone else can verify.

Just found a minute to test it. Going from queue to episode list using ENTER it's good. Going from episode list back to queue using ESC, the taskbar appears. On a second start of the program, the taskbar appears when going from queue to episode list using ENTER, but then disappears when going back to queue using ESC. Looks like a toggle there someplace. I hope the Win7 UAC hasn't affected this. I just have the program in a folder on the d: partition, and ran it for this test by clicking on the .exe that you updated. I just copied it into the folder where the 2.9.8.0 was installed. The executable is version 2.9.8.1.

dhgb256, more good news from the API team: http://developer.netflix.com/blog/read/U...PI_Program

Quote:As of Oct. 14th, 2011, the Netflix API will be focused exclusively on offering content and functionality from the streaming catalog. As a result, we will be discontinuing the support of DVD-related features in the Open API.

Thanks for the heads up! This actually is good news for me, as my program only does streaming and my database update will be MUCH faster once they drop all of the DVD titles. This will be interesting.

yeah, I was thinking that was actually good news for the purposes of streaming apps like this and whurlston's plugin.

I can certainly understand why other people (commenting on the netflix blog post) don't see it so rosey. It's funny how things look so different depending on what you yourself care about - more than one commenter seems to think the entire API is completely pointless now if it's not going to include DVD info... "why bother having an API at all?" one said.

I guess I also don't get why so many dev's seem to be writing apps solely for the purpose of managing the dvd queue; one comments that the "options for arranging the queue using the official Netflix site are so poor." Huh? it seems to work for me. to each their own I guess.

Cool. I wasn't sure if you used the DVD queue. It's definitely a good thing for me.

Good deal!

I have it in there, but it is secondary and I'm not sure if any of my users use it. I don't.

Exactly. I use the website to manage my DVD queue almost exclusively, I've never needed an app.

The instant viewing I use constantly though. The full database update will take about 15 minutes once they eliminate all fo the DVD crap, that will be great!

HEY!
This has come a long way!
I just re-installed it on the media PC in my bedroom & it was a breeze compared to when it first came out.
So great work & thanks.
I can't wait to start using it.

I have to credit inno setup compiler for that, they have an open source setup program that I used to create the setup file. Glad you like it!
