Please do the following to test: 1) Do NOT delete your current movieinfo.ntf file. 2) Open the program and open the rating screen (hit enter on the star raing field) on a move you haven't rated on Netflix. You should get a message like "Movie blah is rated blah stars." Let me know what you get. 3) repeat step 2 with a movie you have rated on Netflix. 4) Run "netflix tx desktop.exe" /update I pulled out all of the code that downloads the movie info and it will only update the star ratings, so it should take less than a minute to run this. Send me your logs when done. Hopefully I'll get everything I need from this. -DH

clicked enter on the stars for 2 days in paris (currently unrated by me), hey it worked rated 3.2 stars... checked 100 women which I rated with your app as 2 stars earlier, it worked, showed up as two stars.
changed time to renew to 0 in the ini, ran "netflix tx desktop.exe" /update downloading new releases downloading recently viewed all movies including the preview two I just checked still show as 5 stars unless I click on the stars and press enter after which it shows the correct rating. I thought maybe canadians have their own sub-genre but I didn't see anything like that on the categories list. I just noticed that my recently viewed category is empty as well. Code: Maxrecords: 50

maybe ask the guys over at instantwatcher.com, they seem to have figured out the canadian availability. Looks like it has something to do with delivery_formats, availability etc

Looks like it has something to do with delivery_formats, availability etc Yeah, I am looking at delivery format and availability and it is still not giving me the right information. I'll see if I can get someone over there to help me out. As for the star ratings, I am using the EXACT same call to get the stars for the rating screen as I am for the database update. I have reduced the length of the URI, so please try the attached version and do the /update. Send me the logs. -DH

mrplow Wrote:yay it worked! We are still in Beta for Canada, but it looks like we have significant progress. Now I just need to get Netflix to fix the catalog and we'll be all set. You are still getting a couple of errors towards the end of the star update, but I think that maight be us trying to get user ratings for movies that aren't available in Canada. At least that is my theory. -DH
