Hi
I have been looking for a thread that explains how to do this for a less techie person like me but couldn't seem to find one here? I understand that NPVR can be controlled from other computers both in and outside my home network to schedule recordings (and stream playback?) (via NEWA I think?) and I have seen the tab under NPVR settings which seem to enable this.
However if I enable and then type http://localhost:8866 on a computer on my home network I get an error (cant seem to find the address). Any ideas?
Also for access outside my home network I understand I need to do something with DynDNS and forwarding ports on routers and through firewalls. Is there a simple step by step guide explaining what these terms mean and how I can do all this?
Many thanks
Tim
