You can use the Ctrl-Right button to jump forward a minute, or Ctrl-Left to jump back 30 seconds. These can be prefix by a number of minutes if you wish. ie 4 followed by Ctrl-Right will jump forward 4 minutes.
You can use Ctrl-F to jump forward 10 seconds, or Ctrl-R to jump back 10 seconds.
Is there a setting, a file, or registry entry that can be edited to change the skip length? Also does prefixing also work on the short skips or just on the long skips? I haven't installed nPVR yet to see if it's something I could figure out on my own as I'm waiting for the DCT support before I give it a try but I'm still trying to learn how things work compared to what I'm used to and what things I customized to fit my wants/needs best.
The minute prefix only works with main skip keys (Ctrl-Left/Right, or skip keys on remote), and are always minute based, even if you tweak those default settings in config.xml.

Sub means Ctrl-left jumps back 30 seconds (by default), and also means Ctrl-R to jump back 10 seconds.

Thanks for the info, I think I'll have to make a profile for NPVR on my main HTPC IrTrans config instead of using the default(actually modified) MC profile as I had changed to the skip forward/back keys to use key ctrl+f/b instead of fnc media center forward/back in order to get proper operation in TMT but it looks like the other HTPCs w/ MCE recievers will be fine. I also take from this that NPVR doesn't have FF/RW, since I'm used to having 29 sec skip forward and 15 sec skip back and FF/RW I'll put long skips on the FF/RW keys.
