How do I select AC3 as the default track for TV3?

With the NPVRTSReader.ax patch and the registry entry, this is now working for me too.

When AC3 is available it is playing via AC3Filter via SPDIF, log shows "Adding system HE-AAC decoder" then "Adding system AC3 decoder" followed by "about to load decoder" and later "Static Reference clock set to: AC3 Audio Renderer"

Perfect, well, not quite. It works for recordings, but when I watch live TV on a channel without AC3, AC3Filter is started, so does tie up the SPDIF output.
If it could work the same was as it does for recordings that would be perfect.
In this case the log shows "Adding system HE-AAC decoder" followed by "about to load decoder" and "Adding system AC3 decoder" followed by "about to load decoder" then later "Static Reference clock set to: AAC Audio Renderer". The problem here is that by loading the AC3 decoder, the SPDIF output is tied up so the AAC can't be heard.

My other problem ( not being able to switch audio streams - http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...is-enabled ) is now very low priority.

I have now worked out that this desirable behaviour only works when "only used mapped audio decoders during ts playback" is ticked.
If whatever that changes could also apply to live tv, it would be perfect.

The "only used mapped audio decoders during ts playback" logic is not possible in live tv. It would effectively mean you're only going to watch AC3 or HE-AAC or MPEG1 layer II audio in a live tv session, and you wont mix them. This setting effectively tells the app to only add the single audio decoder that matches the audio standard that was detected at the time the graph was first hooked up. ie, if you started on an AC3 channel, it would add an AC3 decoder, then you switched to a channel HE-AAC, then there would be no audio since there is no HE-AAC decoder in the graph.

Understand. Its no problem to watch live TV by doing a quick record then a watch. I hardly ever watch live TV anyway, and always from the EPG, never by "channel surfing". Thanks.

I'd like to add to my success story that the only way I got it to work well was with "only used mapped audio decoders during ts playback" NOT checked...
