Colours wrong on PCH-A110

This is really just a curiosity which I'm not too bothered about but what would cause my PCH to display incorrect colours for the npvr UI?

Examples...

I use the Default skin with the Texture_Stone background - on the PC it is graded with white / grey / black with an almost 'silver' look to it. On the PCH, it looks a 'gold' colour.

When I go to the TV Guide and schedule a recording, the slot is highlighted in blue rather than red.

I use SSPanel as my screensaver but instead of the 'X' showing as blue (as in the logo on the forums and on my PC) it's yellow.

One possibility, of course, is I have an HDMI cable wired as BRG rather than RGB but when viewing live TV or recordings all colours are correct so that doesn't make sense. :confused:

I suspect you are breaking the rules for the size and offsets in config.xml and you are not putting the correct colours into the RGB buffers.

2*offset + width = 1280 (or 800 for SD) and offset must be divisible by 4.

In my defence, 38 IS divisible by 4...it equals 9.5 :p

Thanks Martin, I've adjusted the offset to 40 and all is as it should be.

Good, I was actually puzzled by the problem at first reading. As for the question of divisibility in all seriousness one of my Google ad choices for this thread was for the "School of Competitive Math" (grade 8-9) I don't think they would accept your defense.

lol - I could respond by saying that better wording would be "the offset must be an exact multiple of 4" (rather than must be divisible by 4)....but of course this still includes 9.5 and at that point it would mean explaining the factors in the multiplication must both be integers.

Looking back, I remember I was just tweaking the various parameters here and there and got something which seemed to fit my TV screen just right - I hadn't really thought about the rules - just getting the PCH working was impressive enough even with a slightly funky colour scheme.
