Unable to scan

I guess I had coax a little too close my comp power supply and an inexpensive signal amp.

I'm looking at Global without spirits!

But remember Global was successfully scanned prior to my issue with rapid flash no result scans.
and i have since re-scanned yeilding no change.

It is scanning them though, just giving a message I don't get

I've the same audio issue with global that i have with cbc.
I have to manually select audio track 2 to get voice at a reasonable level.

This is also present when watching some avi's

I normally watch with the popcorn hour but I don't have a problem with CBOT-DT's audio on the PC, after the AC3 LiveTV sync's which is a few seconds. I ffdshow and I just checked and track one is the 5:1 feed and it is marginally lower volume but I find it higher quality.

I guess it's another one of my special problems.
I'll get CBC promo ads with music but no dialogue, Ghost whisper(one of my favs) Music:yes Sound effects:yes Dialogue:no
It's not every program on CBC though.
Almost no audio at all on CXKDT(?)(SUN) not that i care

That sounds like you are listening to the rear channels on 5:1 broadcasts.

NPVR has always selected the correct stream for the ATSC signals here from the same two transmitters.

Since DV was mentioned I figure I'd remind you that closed captioning has never worked for me in NPVR since the first public beta (ATSC or cable analog/digital) With ffdshow I can view the E-608 captioning in analog files

Yesterday, I un-installed AC3Filter.
I'm using the Hauppauge renderers and that seems to be the fix.
But from what I recall the volume was good on recordings. Only in live TV using AC3filter.
I'm waiting for another station to go digital then I plan to remove the present NPVR install and start fresh to overcome the scan issue.
Unless you have ideas there.

Well, I copied the "NPVR" and the "Doc~All~App~NPVR" to another directory, stopped Nrecord, uninstalled NPVR, re-installed NPVR and still have the same issue> Any scan results with only one channel but not the new one.
