With my records the audio and video are out of sync. Sometimes fastfowarding 30secs helps, but then it gets back out of sync.

Also it seems as though random files under the root directory for "Video Library" won't play, the system hangs, but files in folders off the root directory play. Not a huge deal, just curious why or if there is a fix.

Are you using hardware or software decoding?

Since I switched to software decoding, I don't have any problems any more, but before that I had exactly your sync problems. The thing that made things better for me then was to regularly (every night) defragment the hard drive. I still do, by the way. You could also try using different combinations of audio/video decoders.

I'd go with stefan's suggestion to try using different combinations of audio/video decoders.

Yes, when I come to think of it I actually started off using a audio decoder (don't remember which), which made the sound out of sync. Not much, but noticably. I changed, and it's working flawlessly now.
