I did download according to the new version.....
but, truly it's saving as _clean.mpg.....that's strange, isn't it?

As you suggested, I will disable comclean.bat for now in postprocessing.bat and see how the next recording is doing.

I will enable renamerecordings.log for now....
I will definitely let you know how my next recording look like....

Does it matter if I use Comskip or comskiphelper?
Does it matter if I use renamerecording or renamerecordings?
(I don't quite understand the difference between them....)

If my comclean version is not properly set, do I need to reinstall /overwrite?

So far, this is how my postprocessing.bat will look like:
==================
ComSkipHelper.exe %1 > comskiphelper.log
RenameRecordings.exe %1 > renamerecordings.log
RecTracker.exe %1 > rectracker.log
==================

Thanks a lot for your help ^_^

erik Wrote:This is indeed the version 0.0.1.
All should be ok.
In one of your posts you mention to have a x_clean.mpg in your directory.
With version 0.0.1 that is not possible, only with version 0.0.0
So that is why I (and reboot) are puzzled.

If you disable comclean in postprocessing.bat is renamerecoding(s) working?
What are the files you see in the recording directory after a successfull recording?
If you enable renamerecording(s) again, what files do you see in the recording directory after a successfull recording?
Please understand that after a recording considerable time is spend in running comskip and somewhat less but still some time is spend in comclean so of you look too early renamerecoding may not have been activated yet.
You should enable the logging ( like you had with e.g. > comskip.log) so you can see if there where any errors being found while running comskip and/or comclean.

Anybody else out there that is using version 0.0.1 of comclean?
Please post if you experience any problems.
I may have made a typo somewhere :o

Another suggestion
Please adapt comclean to

move "%~dpn1.mpg" "%~dpn1_original.mpg"
move "%~dpn1_clean.mpg" "%~dpn1.mpg"
REM exit
goto :eof

and delete all the lines with
@echo off
and create a log file
call comclean.bat %1 >comclean.log
and test again (if you have time) and send the log to me.
You can manually run comclean too (if you have a file with commercials and have run comskip on it.

I'm using it, with no troubles at all. Of course comskip is still missing the odd thing, but comclean is cleaning perfectly, and renamerecording[s] is also working fine.
You can never have enough tuners!

Strange,.... my last recording's comskip seem to stuck...(my comskiphelper.log)
---------------------------------------------------
Comskip seemed to stop processing...
--------------------------------------------------

So, another test.....
I will be doing the following:

1) comclean.bat (get rid of all the @echo off )
2) add REM before the word exit
3) add call comclean.bat %1 >comclean.log to postprocessing.bat
ComSkipHelper.exe %1 > comskiphelper.log
call comclean.bat %1 > comclean.log
RenameRecordings.exe %1 > renamerecordings.log
RecTracker.exe %1 > rectracker.log

And I will let you know the comclean.log look like

BTW, how does one run comclean.bat manually? (exact wording pls)

Thanks for your help in advance ^_^

Just like renamerecordings

Go to the gbpvr home directory and suppose the .mpg file is called d:\video\ally.mpg
then give the command on the next line
comclean d:\video\ally.bat

You will see comclean running

If you want to keep the log you run
comclean d:\video\ally.bat >comclean.log
Actually you can disable all the processing in postprocessing.bat (by putting rem in front of all commands) and then run manually all the commands
The only reason why comclean is called by "call comclean" is because it is a batch file instead of an executable

Ok, here's my comclean.log....

This time, it didn't have the _clean.mpg
and the renamerecordings failed coz something was occupying the file at the time:

result of 4 files for this show:
MacGyver_20050615_13001400.log
MacGyver_20050615_13001400.mpg
MacGyver_20050615_13001400.txt

From the log you can see that comskip did not find any commercials.
Or the .txt file was not in the same directory as the .mpg file.
Strange you do not see a _original.mpg file because acdcording to the log it should have been created.....

It seems you cannot run comskiphelper if you want to run comclean.
Set up your postprocessing.bat thus:
Quote:Comskip %1
call comclean %1
RenameRecordings %1
You can optionally run logs for any/all if you wish, but this sequence works perfect for me.
Beware that the combination of comskip and comclean can take a fair amount of time.
On my XP4800 X2, comskip takes about 7 minutes per hour of recording. On a slower system, it is going to be proportionately longer, and on a P3800 or similar, it could take an hour or more.

If you're using comskip 0.66, you do not need comskiphelper.
You can never have enough tuners!

Personally, I don't know what's the difference between comskip and comskiphelper..... (ha, a newbie)

So, should I download comskip 0.66 and then do as you said for postprocessing.bat?

Comskip %1
call comclean %1
RenameRecordings %1

BTW, for comskip 0.66, do I just download and put in gbpvr directory, I don't need to uninstal or remove any files, right?

Pls help to confirm so that I can proceed ^_^

Thanks
