I'm running the latest code of NPVR on my PC and my OS is Windows 7. The problem I have is that every 10 minutes or so, my PC wakes up. I check the event log and is says that NPVR was the reason for the wake up. I checked my scheduled recordings and I have nothing in the list. So something is causing the PC to continually turn on. It doesn't matter the day nor hour, it turns on within 10 minutes or so after I turn the PC off. This problem did occur with the previous version which I believe was 2.03
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

What does it say exactly?

Have you tried MCE Standby Tool? It seems to best solution for identifying standby and wakeup problems.

Your logs show it waking each time, but there is no sign NRecord.exe causing it. Every time the app requests a PC to wake up, it adds "Requesting wake up for......" messages in your logs, but you dont have these. It'll only make these requests for scheduled recordings. You had no pending recordings at the time you started the recording service, so none of these messages are in your logs.

Sorry, I'm not sure what to suggest. I've not seen any other reports of this, so I'm not convinced NPVR is causing this.

Take a look at your Task Scheduler and see it shows any 'Triggers' that might be waking your system. It often shows the time an event is scheduled for.
The suggestion to use MCE Standby is a good one. I don't need it but had a system that did and it worked great.

Windows 7 is nice for power. Open a command box and run powercfg -lastwake and it should say what woke it up.

Martin's suggestion is helpful but when I was having problems that lastwake didn't show, I also learned that my usb keyboard and mouse was waking my computer. So, I went into device manager and under the keyboard and mouse device, unchecked the 'allow this device to wake the computer' box. Even a slight vibration of the mouse on my desktop would wake the system.
You can go thru all the USB devices and do the same, even the network card.
