Sub I just had a crash and noticed the psisdecd.dll had been changed to the broken XP one so I set it back to the XP MCE One again. we'll see if the crashes go away...

My Nrecord service crash when I use DVDFAB at the same Time.
Now, it's 2 day without crash (Witout using DVDFAB). My cpu is 100% when I encode a film and that crash NPVR Recording Service in the encoding process (It's not an immediate crash).
NPVR version is 2.2.6 ans my CPU is Intel E6500, 4 gig rams. Two Hauppauge tuner card recording ATSC signal.

Ugh. I had what sounds like the same problem today where the recording service apparently locked up and I missed several recordings (including the premiere of Chuck Sad). I didn't know anything was wrong until it wouldn't respond when I clicked on the tray icon. The last line of my log file:

Code:
2011-10-28 14:00:00.135    [DEBUG][7]    Graph stopping...

Will the 'CollectEIT false' config have any effect on ATSC or is this DVB only?

It does also apply to ATSC EIT. From the feedback I've still been unable to determine definitively if this 'CollectEIT false' has made any difference or not. Conflicting feedback so far.

So, How many of you are Running XP? If you are, you might try installing DVBFix Found Here

For me setting the collect EIT to false fixed the NRecord crash on back to back recording on a single tuner. However as soon as a second tuner comes into play the crashes resume. One thing I`ve noticed, is that if NRecord is stable the memory
usage in task manager is stable as well. If it`s going to crash, memory usage is steadily increasing, altho the crashes are independent of the amount memory used. Using xp 32bit sp3.

Anyone with XP and a digital tuner should apply DVBFix because when SP3 was released it used some DLLS From XP that didn't get a fix that XP MCE Received. SP3 even overwrote those files on MCE. So DVBfix Reinstales the last one that had the fix from MCE. Also from time to time updates from microsoft will switch it back so dvbfix has to be ran again...

I'm pretty sure this will be the faulty psisdecd.dll that BrainStormer mentions above. DVBFix should correct it.

Hello together,

For me, I'm using Win7, 64bit, so I think, the XP-stuff isn't relvant for me.

One week after my last post I now can say that without any channel set to Dvb/atsc-epg i had no crash for a complete week but then on friday there where again the async stop taking way too long messages and nrecord crashes. After a reboot of the computer yesterday, recordings went ok again.
