you might want to try configuring the Hauppauge remote if you want the colour keys following Jaggy's notes on the wiki.

Thanks for the hint Martin. I may try that some day. My GBPVR setup is mostly collecting dust these days. I did consider to switch to NPVR and digital TV, but it looks rather complicated to set that up here. That is at least the impression I got from reading this space.

I did add HE-AAC support to mvpmcx2 for use with NPVR and GBPVR, but not everyone knows this (or is inclined to install NPVR for this).

And without that piece of code I would have never considered getting an NMT (such as the egreat 34a or hdx1000) for playback of TV here in NZ... although it does appear now that TVNZ has added AC3 as welll as HE-AAC.

Yes, but it is failry well known here but not on the NMT forum. As an FYI, mvpmcx2 will default to AC3 format but if you do have both and want to listen to the HE-AAC stream, you hit the Audio button on the remote.
