EPG wont show more than current day only

I would seriously recommend taking a look at the EPGCollector utility that sub mentioned, it's available on Sourceforge. The utility accesses the EPG data broadcast in MHEG-5 format on New Zealand Freeview|HD, and extracts the data into an XML file.

I, and most other people who use EPGCollector, run the EPGCollector from an NPVR UpdateEPG.bat batch file. In NPVR configuration, the EPG Source for each channel should be set to XMLTV and "XMLTV File" should be set to "point at" the XML file output by EPGCollector.

The NPVR Wiki has information on NPVR batch files and configuration of the NPVR EPG source.

EPGCollector has some reasonable installation and usage documentation in a readme file which is included with the download from Sourceforge, and there is also a support forum for the utility.

I too endorse the recommendation to use EPGcollector to grab a week's worth of EPG off terrestrial Freeview, then you wouldn't need any of the satellite hardware.

Or, if you want to keep the sat stuff, but don't want to record off the sat when HD is available via the aerial, just set the sat decoder to only have the channels enabled which aren't HD anyway. That will give you more opportunities to record more simultaneous programs.
