When I select a movie to watch, the movie starts to play and then after about 10s the video disappears (screen completely black) but the audio remains. This happens in both windowed and full screen mode. Any ideas?
Btw I'm running the 2.10.0.0 version.

What version of silverlight and .net are you running? DH might want to know that too.

Looks like I'm running Silverlight Version: 5.0.61118.0. I actually have multiple versions of .net on my machine from 1.1 to 3.5 SP1. I would think that it's picking up the right one.
On checking on the silverlight version, I noticed a setting I had turned on when I had tried to watch movies directly from the netflix site. You know how when you first launch the movie, silverlight (this version at least) automatically goes into fullscreen mode and asks you if it should exit fullscreen mode should it lose focus. I had this set to stay in fullscreen mode and although I didn't have a problem through the browser, the viewer didn't like that. I've confirmed that allowing it to exit fullscreen mode when it loses focus avoids the problem I described in the prior post.

Yeah, Netflix Viewer is only Silverlight in fullscreen, otherwise its a window called "movie viewer". I learned that from programming my remote in LM Remote Keymap. Glad you got it sorted!

Hi, should this work for UK or Irish Netflix users? I have attempted to install and from the logs it seems to establish the user, but then hangs when trying to download the catalog. The UpdateDatabase log has one entry: Download Catalog - and that's it. On screen it says that the database is empty so will run the catalog downloader, the GUI exits and that's the last you see of it. Eventually you get a .net error saying "url not found: 404" (or words to that effect). Looking in the task manager the .exe is still running but doing nothing by now.

DH commented a while ago that the API wasnt supported in other countries at that time.

Thanks for the reply. I tried searching but with 115 pages of this thread I didn't come up with much! That's a real bummer. However I have discovered that with an Irish subscription connected to a US VPN it works fine! Now if there was a way to switch between the US and UK VPN via the remote.......

How about writing a bat file for it and run the netflixviewer.exe in that?
