NPVR not working when using Virtualbox

I am using android x86 in Virtualbox, but NPVR fails to startup when a virtual machine is running.
Would be great if this could be looked into.

It is impossible to look into that unless you post the logs showing an attempt to start NextPVR.

Yeah, you'd need to post the logs. There is no chance I'm going to install VirtualBox here to try it out so would need more info.

That log looks fine, and appears to show you watching tv.

What exactly happens?

Started NPVR, all okay. Then started Vbox, and NPVR stops.
With "Client about to request renewal of handle: 140005" message.
NPVR does close down fine, but only when VBox is closed.

It's normal to see these messages every 10 seconds while watching TV.

When you say 'NPVR stops', does the application close, or the video freeze, or you get kicked back to the main menu or something else?

VBox causes the video to pause. Close VBox. Then, I can stop it, and click LiveTV to keep watching.
NVPVR does resume automatically, I have to manually stop/livetv.
NPVR does not crash, but just loses the connection.

I tried running VBox while NPVR was running live tv, and didn't have any problems, although I'm nor sure my VBox is the most up-to-date version.

I know VBox uses an IP network in order to interact with the rest of the PC. Could you have some conflict in your network settings with VBox and NPVR?
