It definitely could be age restrictions, the only video that I tried that wasn't PG or higher was a 3 Stooges comedy and it didn't play because it was stream not found.

The 1.0.5.1 build I just posted should fix the stream not found issue. If not, post the logs for me.

PG streams should play but R and TV-MA definitely will not. The algorithm used for calculating age restricted viewing (or it's result) is not exposed to the API unfortunately. We can only do a best guess scenario based on the rating. I've seen movies with no rating that were restricted however.

The patch didn't help this is the URL

https://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/char...ie-genre=4

And I tried Have Rocket, Will Travel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2AFG69m...tube_gdata but this won't play for me in the browser either. However if I copy the URL in the browser I can play this

There was a problem with the stream parsing but I'm not sure why it affected the NMT but not the PC. In any event, the attached build now does a much better job with the stream parsing and should fix your issues. If not, it at least adds more logging for me.
Sorry, same problem. Although the object error now came after the buffering message. But the video didn't start the second time either. My system is recording, so I didn't restart the recording service after replacing the files. I don't know if that could cause a problem. In the logs my youtube actions start at 20:02:10.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I'm out for a few beers now, so I'll be back tomorrow for more testing.

That's not available for me at all here. Can you zip and post the page source code for all three of those links?

You might try restarting the recording service. I used the data from your logs and it parses just fine for me (I can't access the video due to the regional services but I'm getting past where you get the error.)

The first one should be, it probably was corrupt when &re got replaced

Code:
https://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/charts/movies/most_recent?v=2&start-index=1&max-results=50&safeSearch=moderate&paid-content=false&region=CA&movie-genre=4

Others attached.

It wasn't corrupted, I just get different fields from the API than you do because the video isn't available here. I don't think I need it though.

Neither one of those show any streams in the page source (both have empty "url_encoded_fmt_stream_map" variables).

NM, you can't capture the populated variables with IE's "view source". I'll have a special build for you later tonight to capture them.

Martin, I think I figured out the problem. I've found a couple of movies that are rtmp streams instead of the http files. Looks like we are going to have to do the legwork for rtmp anyway.
