Yeah, I will attempt that once I've sussed out what's going on with this viewer and the db update. If I could start it with a custom task running a batch file that kicks off the VPN connection with appropriate settings and the viewer, that would be lovely.

You might need a US account for a no problem install.

To my knowledge the API does not work outside of the US. The Canadian version of my program does not really work properly either. I used to be able to scrape the website to get the thing to work, but since they went to the big pictures with the play buttons I have been refined to using the API. Sorry!

Say DH,

I will become inactive... I am still subscribing to the thread so I will help with anything I know. I dropped my netflix account due to finance reasons. Its been great helping working with you on your great app! Take care and maybe I will be back once I find a job.

Good luck on the job search! Sorry to hear it, but thanks for letting me know.

I am getting a DRM error on anything I try to play. I have installed version 2.10.0.

The error reads:
Code:
Digital Rights Management (DRM) Error
Error Code: N8156-6013

We're sorry, but there is a problem playing protected (DRM) content.

The date on your computer is set to 1/13/2012, which may be incorrect.
Please correct the date on your computer and try again.

If the problem persists, please call Netflix at 1-866-501-1604

The clock is correct to the second, so that's not it.

At this point I suspect this is a Netflix problem, but wanted to see if you have any ideas.

edit: Nevermind, it was actualy a Silverlight problem, probably caused by the fact that I just rebuilt my HTPC with new mainboard, cpu, RAM and C: drive, but copied the existing windows install from the old (failing) c: drive. The solution was found here: http://mike-thomson.com/blog/?p=210#win7-instructions

That is the whole reason I created the program Smile

I still use Sage6, they sold to Google right before I planned to upgrade. But in 6 I have to use the customizable menu and create a link to an outside program. Just point to the Netflix TX Desktop.exe file (default is at c:\program files\netflix, or c:\program files (x86)\netflix on x64 versions of windows). Personally, instead of this I just mapped a button to the program using Event Ghost and I close SageTV and open TX Viewer when I want to use it. If you need detailed explaination of any of the above let me know.

Set canadian=false if you are accessing the netflix site at movies.netflix.com, set it true if you have to use ca.netflix.com. FYI, the program still doesn't work right for canadian users due to lack of support by Netflix.

It sounds like event ghost is the easy solution but I have never used it nor do I know how to setup/use it. And it also needs to have a high spousel approval rating, lol.

I've always found this thread odd because so many many non-NextPVR users dropped by but I just noticed, this is the "official" thread for SageTV users too http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/download...ile&id=348 It's not really good to be here in the announcement area is it?
