Martin

I started this project as a GBPVR user as an external program for GBPVR. GBPVR didn't work well with ATSC in my area, so I dropped it in favor of SageTV. When my program got bigger than 1.44 MB, I had to relocate the install files and went with the Sage Forum since I had easy access and it gave me more storage space, but since I had a year+ of forum usage here and most of my testers were GBPVR users, I just pointed people here for comments/questions. I haven't gotten any complaints about it, so I've just gone with it. Now that google has bought SageTV, I'm not sure if the Sage forum will be around much longer.

It is quite easy to install and use and has a good forum. If you have an MCE remote I can give you my remote file, so you can give it a test run. My wife had no problem picking it up Smile

Oh, then you may just want to look at the irremote.ini file that comes with the program, I think it works with a hauppauge remote controller program. It should be located in the main program directory and it will do the same thing as event ghost. I dont use it though, so I won't be much help.

I wrote a way to add the netflix app for your remote, but since I changed to LM Remote Keymap http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4/22/60/article.asp and you could add an executable to one of the buttons.

I have posted my file a few hundred posts back (haha) with LMRK for a MCE remote with GBPVR, NPVR, Netflix TX Desktop, Hulu Desktop and I cant remember what else (sorry, no sagetv). It should be easy to change my file to the Hauppauge 45 button, then make a button launch the netflix app.

I am considering adding in parental controls onto the program. So you can replicate the "just for kids" tab of the website, but they wouldn't have access to anything else. I would add in an alphanumeric password to unlock the grown-up stuff. The program could also delete your cookie, so kids can't access the netflix website without permission either. Is there any interest in this as a feature?

Would that be selectable? Someone would have a need for it I can see. Maybe have it selectable in options, which would also lock the options menu with the same code?

Yeah, you'd be able to turn it on/off in the options menu. My kids are getting to the age where I've been contemplating keeping them away from the horror and B movies when I'm not watching with them, so I thought this might be a good feature.

Your filters could do that too, couldnt they? Just saying. Filter "Zombies" and you would be my hero!

Yes, but a savy kid could just go into options and select a different genre. FYI, if you want all zombie flicks available:

1) Open Options
2) Click "Edit List"
3) Scroll to bottom and press enter on the check box next to "Zombie Movies"
4) Move up one row to save
5) Esc or alt-F4 to close
6) On the options menu list box select "Zombie Movies"
7) Hit Enter twice.

Zombie movies will now be a part of your default genres. Enjoy Smile
