Yes, those patches work great. It's the NDigitalHost.exe in the R2a patch that is causing the issue. If I update everything except NDigitalHost.exe then it works.

johnsonx42, not sure if you're following this thread but it may be of interest. Maybe R2a needs a warning about NDigitalHost.exe

I can confirm, have now patched to Patch 28 but using original NDigitalHost.exe and system is working.

I'm using the latest NDigitalHost.exe without issue thus far. I'm 100% certain that the NDigitalHost.exe in the currently posted rev 2a skip patch is the one I'm using (the updates all go into a folder on my desktop; the files are copied from that location to my NPVR program directory, and also zipped into the patch archive from that location).

Also the rev 2a patch has been downloaded 42 times, and you're the only one reporting that it busted your system.

Perhaps sub could post his current build of NDigitalHost.exe so we can see if anything is different.

Yep, it wrecks my system whether I use the original NDigitalHost.exe patch or the one from your R2a patch. I don't really have anything fancy in my system, just a Hauppauge Nova-500-DT and a Hauppauge Nova-HD (DVB-S2).

It's definitely the NDigitalHost.exe that causes the problem.

(mind you, about 6 of those downloads of R2a will have been me! )

I'm also using the NDigitalHost from R2a without problem, but I had some problems until I installed the patches from skip.zip in the skipping thread. Have you tried that?

The problem is that the files "NDigitalHost.exe" and "NextPVR.exe" are blocked because they "came from another computer". You cannot unblock them when they are in the 'Program Files' folder. You must unblock them elsewhere (e.g. Unzip to a folder on desktop) and then copy them into the NPVR folder.

I also installed from johnsonx42's patch and my liveTV has stopped working. It hangs until I kill it. I'll have a go at the files from the original skip thread.

Hi BigMoose, try "Unblocking" the ZIP file and see if that helps. You're looking for an option like this:

johnsonx42 - may be worth adding a note about this to the R2a patch thread. It doesn't affect NextPVR.exe since when you run that Windows asks you to confirm you want to run the program. I've always just unticked the "Always ask before running this program" checkbox when applying patches. I'm guessing since NDigitalHost.exe is called by another program, this dialog never appears and the program remains blocked but the user never knows.

Right click on zip, properties, unblock - then re copying the two .exe's worked. Weird, never come across "unblock"ing a zip file or contents of before...
