I don't understand logic of recording
I have 2 analog turners, version 2.3.6

to night I have recoding that go to 23:10
next recording is starting 00:15
then I tryed to do a manuel recording starting 22:10 to 06:00 (nascar) it says " NO Turner ...."
if I delete recoding that start 23:10 and then do Manuel recoding and after that via EPG (23:10) says "quick recording" it works

this is how it looks =recording .... not recording
=============23:10....................00:15 =============02:10 .................................
...22:10 ======================================================06:00

the only recording that is on only 1 turner is the manual

I could understand if I get "no turner if then manual recording and the recording that ends 2310 using same turner
but now I dont understand this

This has happen also for EPG recordings (so it's NOT only then I do it with manual recording )
so can anyone explain how this is working?

I think that the tuners are allocated when the EPG is updated for recurring recordings. I don't think there is any logic to change them about to fit in with any extra manual recordings.
I'm not sure about the current version, but the earlier gbpvr had an option to either always record on the first available tuner or alternate between all available ones.

I have certainly come across the problem you had, where to fit in a manual recording I had to delete a pending recording, set up a manual one and then reset the pending one.

The recording that goes to 23:10 was probably set on tuner #2 due to a previous overlapping recording, or live tv. Then the recording at 00:15 was set on tuner #1 because there were no overlapping recordings at that time. So when you asked it to record from 22:10 to 06:00, there was no single tuner available for the entire timeslot.

NPVR doesn't have any logic that allows it to re-assign tuners for future recordings when you ask for a new recording. You have to do it yourself.

Presumably one day sub will add more advanced scheduling logic and conflict notification/resolution.
