I would add in an alphanumeric password to unlock the grown-up stuff. The program could also delete your cookie, so kids can't access the netflix website without permission either. Is there any interest in this as a feature?

I would be interested in this definitely! Right now I have all the kids shows in the queue and have it set to queue only so they will not be able to watch anything else. Great idea!

Thanks for the feedback, good to see I'm not the only one that likes it. It will take me a while to implement, but it will give me an excuse to waste a few more weeks of free time.

Just an FYI, Netflix has changed their interface, so I am working on fixing the episode advance button. The episode back button and the need for full screen has been eliminated. So on the plus side you'll no longer need to press alt-F4 prior to FF or RW or bringing up the info screen. New version will be out in a day or so, I have been having problems getting the button to work consistently from computer to computer.

Hi,
Just a quick confirmation - is this just for 64-bit versions of windows?

I'm running a 32-bit win7 and get a "cannot access 64-bit registry keys" error on trying to install 2.12

cheers,
tieke

Hi,

I been here since post #2 and dont remember that error being discussed. I have run it on Win 7 32 bit netbook with no problems.

Just to make sure, you do have the prereq's right?

Note: You need Internet Explorer version 8 or higher for this program.

Note: You must install .net 3.5 before running the program.

Try install as admin?

OK try the new version that I just posted, please let me know if you are still getting the same error. I added a check for x64 before installing the 64 bit registry values, if you are running x86 it won't try to install them. Hopefully this fixes it.

Great - that fixed the error message and it installed successfully, and then did the initial long database download etc, and started correctly.

Just having the problem that whenever I start it, it goes through installation Step 1 and Step 2 every time - takes about ten minutes to complete. Is this just the standard update routine?

cheers,

Try deleting the DHGB256 folder in your applications folder (do a windows search for the folder, should be in your users directory) and redo a complete download of your queue again. Im pretty sure that will cure it.

yes, and if that doesn't do it make sure that the Update Stars option is turned off. Let me know if that doesn't work and I will get you a test version.
