I've found and fixed the "exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" bug. I'll have the other one fixed by tomorrow.

This patch should fix both of the following issues:

1. "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" when attempting to play a video. (This occured when there was an unknown video stream... 3gp streams were one particular cause.)
   
2. Crash when attempting to view a list where the video thumbnails did not have a "name" parameter in the xml feed. (jksmurf's custom playlist for example.)
   

There may have been some other changes since the last release but I don't think so. Everything seems to be working correctly but post if it gives problems.

Awesome whurlston, much appreciated. I got the feeds off my youtube account, so now I can make any number of very nice playlists! Thank you!

There are a couple of things that still plague me a bit (probably me!)
1. I could only get it to work by manually adding the customsearch to youtube.xml as described above, It simply did not "stick" when I added did it through settings. No idea on that one.
2. If you delete the setting it throws the error in the middle picture in post 368 http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post438316
3. For some odd reason, buffer the setting useBufferForPC="false" is the only one that works with my test vids, true does not work. The true setting start the vid then stop very quickly. Maybe a buffer adjustment.

I'll just leave these here so when other people are looking and have the same issue they can add to it, as the system works.

Can you post the logs with it set to false and attempting to play a video? It does sound like a buffer issue though.

It is the other way around, it is "true" that does not work. In addition there is no audio...

The patch didn't help this is the URL

And I tried Have Rocket, Will Travel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2AFG69m...tube_gdata but this won't play for me in the browser either. However if I copy the URL in the browser I can play this

I've found a fix for this. All Crackle videos (and a few others) were having the same problem.

This patch includes the following (along with previous fixes):

1. Fixes an issue where streams were not found for some videos (eg: Movies uploaded by Crackle).
   
2. Fixes an issue where FLV streams where not playable.
   
3. Improved stream parsing for speed and reliability.
   
4. Hard limits lists to 250 entries for speed (this will be configurable later).
   
5. More logging of available streams (debug purposes... may be removed later).
   

There is still an issue where the plugin will not fall back to a different video type. If you get a "no streams found" error, try changing the video type. This bug is next on my list (along with jksmurf's buffering issue) and then I will be working on the settings screen and a few other minor things. Once that is done, I will put out a full release. If anyone still has any requests/bugs, you can start reminding me of them. I may not get them all in the next release but I'll try.

For some unknown reason I don't get sound from any YouTube videos when playing them vis the plugin, if I try to play the buffered files (in the temp directory) they play fine in both VLC and WMP. Could it have something to do with the conversion to .ts files?

Could be a decoder setting. Zip and post a log showing playback of a buffered file.

Edit: You might need to uncheck "use only mapped decoders during ts playback" the the decoder setting tab (main NPVR config) or make sure you have a decoder mapped for AAC audio.

That's the problem, I did not have an AAC decoder mapped. Frankly I had no idea that it used aac audio.
