Thanks for trying...I'll let you know if it persists through the next release. I can live with it for now as I know how to get around it...just odd that it behaves that way. As always, I appreciate your efforts!
Does other software behave the same or is it just NextPVR? Have you looked at the Windows Logs for errors as it could be there is a problem with some module timing out for some reason. If you look at the "Summary of Admin Events" just after you have had the menu problem it will list significant events in the last hour.
Just nPVR...and even nPVR behaves fine after I start and stop one video. Good call on looking in Windows logs...I had not thought of that. Unfortunately, the logs do not contain any warnings or errors from the times when I started nPVR. But thanks for the suggestion!
I figured I should update this thread in case someone stumbles on it with a similar problem. I found the issue was caused by a conflict with another piece of software called Vitru MVP. This is supposed to speed up some video tasks by letting my computer use both my dedicated graphics card and the integrated Intel graphics on my i5 CPU for inhanced performance...so I suppose the enhancement was to mess up nextPVR. Anyhow, everything fixed its self when the Virtu MVP software had an update (updated to 2.1.115a.23214 and everything in nextPVR started to work again). The problem existed even after I had updated nextPVR to 2.5.5. I'm not sure I gain anything by using Virtu MVP so if anyone else sees this issue and has Virtu MVP enabled, you might uninstall it to see if it solves the problem.
