The PVR350 has always been identified as a "WinTV PVR PCI II". You sure you didn't have something running that was using the PVR350 when you started GB-PVR?

The new drivers work great (and version 0.21.4 of the software).  I can finally us GB-PVR to watch the shows I recorded with it.  Good work.

However, I am not able to rewind and fast-forward live tv.  I can pause it though.  Right now I am watching "The Amazing Race", the buffer is 18% full because I paused it for about 25 minutes, and now I went to watch it, and I can't fast forward the commercials.  Also, after about 5 minutes of watching the buffered program, the video froze.  When I pressed the pause button, the information screen would come up and tell me the buffer is 0% full.

Earlier I watched a show that I recorded with GB-PVR, and it played perfectly.  I was able to fast forward and rewind no problem.

To summarize: I can pause live tv, but I can't rewind or fast-forward.  I can play, pause, rewind, and fast-forward recorded shows no problem.

Thanks in advance.

Yep, thats pretty much how it behaves with Live TV on the PVR350 at this stage.

Quick test - fixed my problems.

Sub - does FF/RW only NOT work in live TV WITH the PVR350? Or all cards? Or only with 350 as the decoder/output device.

Is the FF/RW of live tv for the PVR 350 a feature that is planned to be added in the future? Also, is there a mailing list by which we can be notified when a new version of the software is released?

Yes, it is a feature I'd like to add in the future. No, there is no mailing list.

LiveTV FF/RW on the PVR350 is one of the "hard-to-implement" features that does seem to be a good match with the number of hours I can spend on the project. I've wasted weeks in the past trying to get this going. I will look at it again sometime soon.

Ever since I installed this version of the hauppauge driver, my hauppauge ir software comes up with an error saying it can't initialise the remote hardware? Anyone else have this issue?

And yes I did reinstall it.....twice.....

Just found this program and it is awesome, except for the same issue. I wish I could FF/REW buffered live television.

I also can't seem to FF/REW recorded programs.

Going back to the original topic!

I have now used the latest GB-PVR with the new Hauppauge drivers for a week and so far NO LOCK UPS  [Image: biggrin.gif]

It seems that the locking-up problems PVR350 users previously had has been solved with the new drivers.

Of course it is always 2 steps forward and 1 back, now when you try to exit Live TV you get a black screen with the text 'failure to initialise channel' or something similar. Simply pressing the menu button puts you back into the main menu screen though. It must have come with the new drivers but I wonder if Sub knows a way round it in GB-PVR? something for a future release?

Regards to all,

Shappers.

Hey Shappers,

did you download 0.21.4 of GB-PVR? This "issue" was resolved,

cheers,
Colin.
