nsti2tion Wrote:Did not have latest Silverlight (even though it was set to autoupdate). After updating to Silverlight V5, I have audio, but still back screen. Alternating the allow/deny in permissions did not do anything.
Machine has XP with IE 8 installed.
If I drag Internet Explorer to 2nd monitor, go to Netflix ,select a movie, and then select fullscreen...silverlight pops up and I have pic and sound.
Thanks,

EDIT**
One thing I noticed....If I have the viewer set to primary monitor and play a movie then select fullscreen from within the viewer, I get black screen with audio on the primary.
If I don't select fullscreen, everything is okay on the primary monitor.
Dunno if that helps.

The way it worked for me, if I set it to allow full screen focus I'd get a black screen when in full screen mode on the viewer on the secondary screen. But it worked fine as long as I didn't hit the "f" to go to full screen. However, with the new viewer format you should no longer need to go into full screen mode, it should fill the screen without it.
Now, I just need to figure out why your program isn't responding. I'm pretty sure it is still a silverlight issue. Please forgive my directions if they seem simplistic:
1) If you go to the netflix website does it give you a drm error when you try to play a movie?
1a) If so, change the file name of this file: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\PlayReady\mspr.hds to nspr.hds. (I had to do this on my xp machine)
2) Go into the silverlight settings app and delete the movies.netflix.com/wiplayer permission. Reboot and rerun the .reg file I sent you.
3) Completely uninstall silverlight and reinstall. Then try step 2.
I'll try some things on my test machine and see what I get.
