The MVP needs a DHCP server on the network to be able to boot from powerup. If you've got one you're sweet, otherwise you'll need to let the original Hauppauge software boot the software (with built in DHCP).

That did the trick with the MVP... Next, test the delay on channel changes Smile

Personally I'm a channel surfer, so even a second is too long, which is why we have live preview mode.
lucky for us there isnt a hell of a lot of things to watch in new zealand. well besides shortland street, close up, holmes, campbell live, mitre 10 diy rescue... god save us.

If you don't have a router with DHCP or other device with DHCP you could try a freeware DHCP server installed on your PC. Something like:

Please note that I have not tried this as I have a router with built in DHCP server.

Just a though, why install the Hauppauge software at all?
