Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing: settings > devices > click on one tuner > device setup > scan. I'll have another go at scanning and post those logs.

Ok, here's the log. What I did was the sequence as above, plus moved the TV Listings plugin folder so it didn't load, and scanned using the BBC HD only satellite.ini created by Iain Milne (imilne). I then scanned using Iain's Freesat only satellite.ini file. These are the results. Thanks again...

Plenty of scanning stuff in there this time. Line 1390 onwards looks like the attempt on the BBC channels, sub.

According to your earlier post, this was the BBC HD frequency. From the look of it, everything goes fine, but the device doesn't look onto any signal at that frequency, so no data is ever delivered to the application.

I'd be double checking that frequency/polarity/symbol_rate/fec are definitely correct for this transponder. imilne, are these the settings you're successfully scanning with?

Also, if you've got WinTV7, I'd see if you can lock onto the signal in that software.

According to this http://en.kingofsat.net/channelhistory.php?ch=3542, that setting seems to me correct for Astra 1N 28.2E.

Yep, they were the settings straight from my working install. I'll double check them again when I get home to be sure tho.

I'd try scanning it in WinTV7 if you can. Since it was only recent change, WinTV will ask you if you want to download updated tuning information - and you'll have to let it.

Hmm, easier said... I don't have that installed: this is a stripped out PVR with nothing on it that doesn't need to be there. I find Hauppauge want money for the app. - unless I find I have an original CD laying around somewhere. Are there any free alternatives you can suggest?

Sorry, no. I'm not sure what other free software might do DVB-S2 with the Hauppauge devices.

Liteswap just for the crack try changing the freesatonly.ini entry for transponder 10 from
10=10847,V,23000,23,70
to
10=10847,V,23000,23,198
And then try scanning again.
198 worked for me in GBPVR. Ironically though, 70 worked for me in NPVR!
