I've search this forum and see this has happened before, however since I only use XBMC as a client, I think maybe it's related so I post here.

Timeshift files is not beeing deleted. I did a complete fresh install of 2.5.9 today and I notice timeshift files are not deleted.

I assume you need some log files npvr.log or nrecord.log ?

but I'm off to bed now.

I just checked my Timeshift folder and there were 55 files in there. I think this should be easy for Sub to recreate. If not we can provide some logs.

This has been a problem with NextPVR with the NMT for years. I ended up modifying my resume and updateepg scripts to delete live*.ts

Normally when you watch live tv it starts with one file, and after a few minutes it moves to a new file, and repeats again after a few more minutes. When you watch a channel in xbmc are you finding that all files get left behind, or just the first file, or just the last file?

If you can post a screenshot of your buffer directory, I should be able to tell from the file names.

Damn, I flushed the folder.... Smile I will post in a few days, I'm sure there will probably be some files in there by then.

I just set me slipfile very to 40 so you can see the attached logs.

Although you log this
Code:
2012-10-07 17:32:13.100    [DEBUG][4]    About to delete temp file: C:\temp\live-GLOBAL-4316-1-7.ts
2012-10-07 17:32:13.100    [DEBUG][4]    About to delete temp file: C:\temp\live-GLOBAL-4316-1-6.ts
2012-10-07 17:32:13.100    [DEBUG][4]    About to delete temp file: C:\temp\live-GLOBAL-4316-1-5.ts
2012-10-07 17:32:13.118    [DEBUG][4]    Cleaning up: C:\temp\live-GLOBAL-4316-1.ts

Only the original is deleted. 2, 3 & 4 were deleted properly during playback.

Looking at KRA's screenshot, it looks like the last three file segments are being left behind.

Same with mine, I think that is the same thing I've said for the NMT

Its different issues with the NMT though. The NMT files are deleted by different code in a different part of the app.
