Linux, found android was rubbish. How are you setting the time, as it seems like there is a billion ways to skin a cat in linux.

Linux is much better but as a programmer I am impressed how the tricked the problem to run in Android with so little actual Android specific code. I set the time and timezone with Settings->Appearance International. There might be other problems so install 1.2.3 and compress and send the NextPVR web.log and xbmc.log

Ok tried the channel group, setting correct time, and 1.2.3, and all no go.

Ok all working. Reboot fixed it after all those changes. I have to say this rocks, nicely done. Only major problem ive seen so far is if you are in guide with the tv still playing in the bottom left, then try to change channels it reboots the pivos xios.

Ok good news. I haven't used mode on my Pivos so I will try this.

Since this this is an "experience" thread how is the quality of Australian HD on your Pivos if you have any in your setup? Also are you using a Pivos remote, a better remote or a keyboard?

I've come from using WMC + XBMC on a windows PC and the picture quality of Live TV in HD and media is the same on the pivos as my previous setup. I get all the HD channels being in Sydney metro. I'm using logitech harmony one remote as the standard pivos remote is junk, stops working after a few minutes of use. I've programmed all the functions of the pivos remote and more, like pause/play onto the harmony and it works perfectly.

I've got my second pivos xios in transit, which i'll configure to use the same databases, plans for a 3rd setup later on. I'm really impressed by the pivos xios, but it has required a bit of hacking to get everything going, it's most diffinately not out of the box like apple tv.

Your experience with the picture quality and with the remote are the same as mine, I've configured an NMT remote and I have a lot more keys configured that the Pivos forums users are enabling. I now like wifi remote from my tablet too.

The atv2 hardly works out of the box, it needs to have a jailbreak. My Pivos worked with the firmware update from USB with no problem or hacking involved, I did build a custom firmware to enable the remote but right now I am using stock.

Will this unit work or do I need a different one?

Different. For XBMC you would need an XIOS not AIOS. It is at Newegg though http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-TV-Tuners I have seen them for $90 but never as low as the AIOS goes on sale.
