I am still having intermittent live tv freezes on clients. I could be wrong, but I now believe this was something introduced in 2.5.9. I say this because:
I took this recent problem, and some extra time, to do something others have done: a dedicated NextPVR server. I took my old core solo desktop and configured FROM SCRATCH:
- Windows 7, all updates. Firewall Off. All energy settings set to "never."
- Latest HD-PVR drivers.
- NPVR 2.5.9, clean install, plus all pre-requisites. I only imported my recordings, and recurring recordings. All other items, including HDPVR setup, and guides were done from scratch.
The server has nothing else on it. NextPVR doesn't even run, only the service.
I've also replaced a client, again completely from scratch to ensure that it wasn't something I did (although my clients haven't changed from the previous version other than installing 2.5.9). Even with this client, the freezes persist on it.
