Hi.
Getting an error when I try to scan for channels.
I want to use NPVR as a server. Running on Windows home server 2011. As clients i'm going to use XBMC.
I have the latest download on NPVR+patches and Tevii S660 drivers.
Can anybody help me to figer out the problem?

Have installed DirectX11. When I run dxdiag it says that DirectX 11 is installed. but DirectDraw, Direct3D is not avalible...

You need to install older DirectX for NextPVR the new ones aren't good enough The problem might be with your card's driver

Code:
2012-12-11 11:19:11.957    [DEBUG][1]    Using tuner TeVii DVB-S/S2 Receiver (1)
2012-12-11 11:19:11.959    [INFO][1]                [00000000-0000-0000-0000000000000000]-00000000-00000000
2012-12-11 11:19:12.000    [DEBUG][1]    About to auto detect capture filter...
2012-12-11 11:19:12.586    [DEBUG][1]    No BDA capture filter for this device

I think I have read that sub doesn't support all DVB-S2 cards.

Did you run the DirectX runtime? I think that it includes stuff that NextPVR needs that is not built in to the OS. My dxdiag looks like ...

mvallevand : It's not that easy to downgrade to a lower version of directX :-(

Graham : Did run the directX runtime. It's installed but I get disabled on all three that you got enabled. Maby it's the graficcard driver that make them disabled. But I run a headless server and don't have a grafic-card. Doing all via RDP...

Can you get the result that you want by using NextPVR in client mode on a second computer rather than by using RDP? Settings --> Devices

NextPVR settings are stored in config.xml and can be edited directly (though at your own risk) !

I think Martin has the right answer; you will probably need Sub's help regarding recognizing your tuner. I think DirectX is only needed for the NPVR menus, it is not need for recording or playing. (I might be wrong, however.) It should not be an issue with your headless configuration.

It's normal for it to report directx isn't available when accessing via RDP.

I'm guessing it's a case of the drivers not correctly advertising the connections between components.

Can you run the filtercheck.exe, and post the filtercheck.log?
