Hello, I'm a newbie. From Australia.
I am on a steep learning curve but coping. I had a few problems and a litte success.
My system is :
Ms xp home
sp2
pentium 4 3ghz
1gb ram
ati radeon 9200se
ac97 obs
divco fusion hdtv dvb-t
80 gb hdd
pioneer cd/dvd +/- rw
32 speed cd rom..
I have used a program I found on Australian XP Media Center Community to grab xmltv for melbourne australia, works quit well.Program is called Bladerunner. If you need a xmltv program for Aust this works.
My problems I have had are annoying but maybe someone can offer a little assisitance:

1: gbpvr does not reconize my fusion dvb-t card when setting up capture sources, I heve to use fusion t1 setting?????

2: sound does not work only when veiwing digital hdtv ( I think I need to some how use the decoders and etc from my card, but don,t know how to).

3: I have a line on the bottom of tv viewing area that annoys me.

4: and I would like a plugin for a very user freindly web browser that i can use my remote control easily with.

Thats about it for now, later I will need help with things like Icon displays of my photos etc

Other than that what can I say, I have trialed many diferent htpc, and media centre software, as many as I could find on the net. The only one's I havent are microsoft MCE, mainlobby and some other fancy looking swiss home media centre..
And I find GBpvr a very good htpc front end...

I hope someone can give me a little advice and Thankyou...

I dont have this cards, so cant answer your question directly, but...GB-PVR has a section in the file bda.ini for each BDA card. If there isnt one in there that matches your card, you can add a section (and let me know so I can add it to the master list).

It sounds like the Fusion T1 setting is working for you, so nothing major to worry about.

I think your HDTV transmissions use AC3 audio, so you could try setting the 'audio decoder' option on the playback tab to a decoder that handles AC3 audio.

Quote:3: I have a line on the bottom of tv viewing area that annoys me.
you could try editing the <VerticalZoom> setting in the config.xml. Set it to something like 1.05

Its not really a browser, but there is simple web viewer plugin that can be used for viewing your often-visited pages. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=6713

Just to confirm a couple of subs answers, Australian HDTV does use AC-3 sound (at least some channels do but I'm not sure if all five do). T1 refers to the original fusion card with the LG tuner, no analogue inputs, a full height circuit board and no antenna pass through. Lite refers to the card with a thomson tuner with no analogue inputs, a low profile circuit board and has an RF passthrough. Plus refers to the card that superceded the T1 and has analogue inputs, a thomson tuner, a low profile circuit board and an RF pass through. If you go to here there are pictures of all three.

Thanx for quick replies..
My card is a FusionHDTV DVB-T Plus. I checked out the bda.ini file it listed the Dvico Fusion DVB-T and fusion t1, I modified the dvb-t list to be the same as the T1 list, this worked. But I probably should have made a new dvb-t plus listing.

In regards to querie 3.
I adjusted the vertical zoom in config.xml to 1.05, this did not work. I noticed that the line is not apart of the video, it's part of the border below the video.

Yeah, create a new section. Post it here and I'll include in the master list.

Are you running in fullscreen mode? Any chance of a screenshot?

please find attached Fusion text file, 3 snapshots
Yes I am running in fullscreen mode. The problem has dissapered at the moment, I recently Install Omega drivers for my ati radeon, which I lernt about on this site, they work great!, Omega drivers seem to improve the video on my analog tv noticably. so therefore maybe the Omega drivers fixed the lines. But I did manage to get a screenshot of the problem, as attatched.

Also while I'm here I've got a couple more queries:
1: As attatched 2 errors, when exiting tv mode I get error1 then error2, any ideas on why this happens?

2: And I hope my final question, I really havent had a good look in forums for this problem, but How do I change the viewing aspect ratio settings?

I would like to thankyou for your help, you have solved evrything I have asked so far.. great stuff! Thanks.. Smile

Reproduce the error, then send your logs over to support@devnz.com and I'll take a look. Include a link back to this post so I know what the logs are for.
