This is not a GBPVR related issue, but i thought some of you know how to do video encoding and conversions. But i do burn most of my stuff on DVDs which is where i need help.
I often times give presentations where i like to include clips from shows or movies. I use xmpeg to extract the clip from a DVD, and then I clean it up using virtualdub. And i get an .avi clip that looks pretty good on my computer. I use the divx codecs when i do this.
What i've discovered though is that i can't take this clip and play it on another computer if they don't have the codec. Here's my question: Is there a way or a codec that is so standard that i can encode my files in so that when i transport files, i'm not stuck in the embarassing situation of audio but no video.
Hope this makes sense and hope someone knows how to help!
