Setting NPVR up

The audio source file is AAC, so configuring it to AC3 wouldn't help. You have to make sure that you have all the patches installed and you might need to red channels to get AC3 input working.

Could you explain "red channels"? It was working last night...I noticed that when i start Live TV, the AC3filter icon appears at the bottom right in the task bar and yesterday when i started LiveTV, at first there was no audio, then i right clicked and under Audio stream i saw AC3 Audio, selected it and the audio started to work. today that options seems to not be there anymore. Also the output is of sound is from my onboard SPDIF to my Panasonic bluray receiver (SA-BT730)

Sorry I meant redo. I suspect the audio input is messed up in NextPVR and you have a mix of SPDIF and RCA.

I deleted all the channels, recreated 1 channel started Live TV, and still the no sound...really dont know what else to do or what could be the issue

BTW, log taking after re-adding channel starting live tv and stopping after a few seconds

Here is another log i just took. When i start Live TV , 4 Lav icons appear, each with a different audio source (aac, mpg1-float, eac3 and ac3) but still no sound...i just dont know what to do anymore

Your logs like you should be capturing through the SPDIF. Have you configured audio output the SA 8300 to Dolby Digital? If so there is not a lot you can do, other than wait for sub.

Yes it is set to Dolby. Im having the same problem in Wintv7 also so i dont think its npvr only...is having 4 Lav icons normal? I removed Ac3filter and only have SAF6 (6.19 unlocked) but still no dice....

Looking at your graph yes. As I said it is detecting AAC encoding but the source is SPDIF optical which is raw DD, so you really need to wait for sub.

Ignoring live tv, if you do a recording, then play it, do you get audio?
