Colossus, Directv, and HDMI

Is there anyone that is using a Colossus with the Directv HDMI output? The signal is seriously degraded for me using it this way. It's worse than svideo. The video is the same with WinTV v7 so I know it isn't a NPVR caused problem. I have all of the other outputs disconnected from the Directv receiver and I have tried all of the resolutions available in the receiver. I know it isn't the cable because when I use the same cable to connect the receiver directly to the TV the video is outstanding.

I have my h20 set to 720p via hdmi ( native off). I have other problems but the video looks great (live and recorded)

Directv is doing that to you on purpose. It is almost like they want more people to use torrents.

After reading that article, even though I was using component with hd-pvrs not hdmi, I ordered service from my local po dunk cable company and setup npvr with a hdhr prime. It has worked great for a week now, so just this morning I fired directv and explained that it was because of this hostile action towards their customers without hdcp comlpiant equipment. The customer retention girl said she didnt really understand the problem but had several other customers cancel saying something about hdcp.
