Bump. My post #35 in this thread contains valid log files for this problem with the modified nshared.dll sub posted and also included the npvr log from the client.
Would love a fix on this....as I have said same problem for me with all the patches on the latest and way capable hardware....again like others on version 2.5.5 no issues....
I don't normally have a NextPVR client setup these days, but I've built an environment this morning to try reproducing this issue. I'm running live tv at the moment waiting for one of these freezes.

What's your client setup of choice sub? Whilst XBMC is looking great, it's a long way to go before it can compete on features of your NextPVR client...
I just use a standalone setup with a small silent PC connected to the TV in the lounge.
I did get the client to lock up after a couple of hours yesterday, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find the reason. I'm going to have another go today.
Just reporting the same problem with 2.5.9 server / client setup here too.
(also found that while XBMC client clearly has potential it's nowhere near ready to take over from NPVR just yet!)

I'm experiencing the same client freeze also after installing patches R2, nothing obvious in the logs. Client runs live tv for 10-20 minutes and freezes. I have to restart the recording service on the server after that.
