unable to get this to work

so far from what i can tell, the prompt only happens when i go to config. When i access for the first time , it goes to the guide without asking for credentials. then if i hit config, it ask. I didnt not modify any settings in NEWA except change the password (from NPVR config). Everything was running ok once i changed my network back to 198.168.13.1 but tonight i cant see my old recording when i click on All Recordings in X-NEWA or even from XBMC NPVR plugin, i see some shows only, like 1 show, i see both this weeks and last weeks recording but another show that played on monday doesnt appear in the list. when i go to Recurring Recordings , i get the unable to retrieve data error again...i just dont know anymore...trying to be patient about this but kinda sucks when the wife is ready to watch something and we cant ...

I just realized that my recording of yesterday and last week arent in NEWA Web or NPVR either but they are in the recording folder with all the rest. WTH is going on...I havent touched anything since i saw the problem today. Could the fact that i had a problem with my Drivepool (pooling program on my WHS2011) and it dropped disk out of the pool last night...those disk contained the recordings and now NPVR erased them somehow from the list but once the disk were back up it didnt put them back? That might explain the missing shows but doesnt explain the Recurring recording issue.

It sounds like you might have a data problem, but without xbmc.log it's hard to say. The easiest thing for me would be for you to compress and upload npvr.db3 so I can try here.

To be fair although you took a while to get here, it wasn't x-newa's fault that newa was blocking a public IP and you never configured it for use. I can't recall seeing this before in all my years here.

There might be an issue with accents since files seem to be there so I still would like the database NEWA also crashed at on point.

How is Unité 9? I heard good things when season 2 started last week and I might try and catch it online.

Where is the NEWA DB? I opened the npvr db with sqllitespy and under the Scheduled Recordings table, there seems to be missing shows...this is my current folder structure(see pic) Is there a way to add them back to the db?

I think what is happening is you are seeing NextPVR deleting shows from the database when your share is not available. I see L'Auberge du chien noir was deleted early yesterday its deleted id is EP005520470257 I think it's a dangerous setting default when you are using a share and recommend setting it to false

what about <NoRemoveWhenTreeMissing>true</NoRemoveWhenTreeMissing> ..what is this for? Also can i put them back in the DB some how or any other way? and what about the Error that recurring Recordings arent working in X-NEWA?

Yes I forgot about that one, if you have that then you probably deleted the file yourself. I woke up realizing I was wrong because you had some files there.

The <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> was on true and i changed it to false...but my Recordings are spread across a few Hard disk that are pooled together to create 1 volume. the disk that didnt drop, the recordings remained in npvr but the ones that did drop, the recordings disappeared from NPVR. i didnt delete anything myself. So there is no way to edit the DB to put them back?

If you look in your NPVR data directory, you'll see files recording-backup.xml, recording-backup.xml.1 and recording-backup.xml.2. See if the recordings are listed in one of those. If so, copy the file and make sure the copy has the .xml extension. Edit the copy and remove any recordings already in your database or that you have deleted the recording itself. (This assumes you are familiar with editing XML. If not, you can probably post it here with the list of recordings you need added & someone will edit it for you.) Start NPVR and go to the Recording tab in Settings. Click on Import Recordings and select your new .xml file.

If your recordings are not in one of the files above, you can probably figure out the format and create the entries yourself.
