Here is my log. my EPG is set to update at 5AM. Looks like most of the scans end without saving new programs. you can also see a manual scan that I did at 2PM the on 5/4/2013, that resulted in a successful update.

I'd recommend getting real guide data in North America. The OTA ATSC data is too short lived, even if there was data for you a 5AM, by prime time it could be expired.

I have the same problem. I don't use EPG because my stations come via translators and EPG-update, for some reason, gives an hour later than the actual program time. My twenty or so pending recordings dissappear gradually over the span of 10 or 12 days and eventually nothing remains and NPVR fails to record anything. I have found a simpler solution than the one you tried with the groups. I just double click one of the programs in the "Recurring Programs" screen (preferably a program that is scheduled that day so I don't have to change anything) and then I click the update link. Next, if I do have to re-enter the recording day, I do that, and then click on "OK". Somehow, this fills in all the pending recordings for another stretch and everything works like normal until I notice items have disappeared again. Seems to be a simpler solution; you just have to do it once during every 10 or 12 day cycle.

The three things that could account for this - 1) your PC is set for the wrong timezone, 2) your PC isn't set to auto adjust for daylight savings, 3) the times supplied in your EPG source are incorrect. What EPG source are you using? |
