Ok the logs will be slightly larger because on the 1st attempt at going through the sequence it behaved as it should do and stopped the channel and cleaned the temp file. So while in the same XBMC session I repeated the process and the 2nd time the error occurred and it was still recording after I exited XBMC.

Sorry, can you reproduce that again, but this time also post the xbmc.log. You'll need to have debug logging enabled in xbmc.

Here you go, exactly the same happened again, 1st time was ok, 2nd failed.

Sorry forgot to turn on debugging, here's the updated logs with debug enabled.
Out of curiosity i decided this time to go straight to the comedy central hd channel and this time it failed 1st time. so I'm wondering if it something to do with the HD channel as the other time I started with an SD channel then 2nd was on the HD. I'll go test.

Nope it just seems random, no pattern to it. Tried with the FX+ channel I tried previously and it failed 1st time this time also.
Here's the logs from this attempt.

I am having the exact same problem, though sometimes the file(s) keep growing, sometimes they don't. Regardless of which situation occurs, NPVR still thinks it is tuned to a channel. NPVR and XBMC on same machine for me, using an HDHomeRun Prime.

Guys,
I've read all these threads so i hope i'm not going mad. When I installed npvr i immediately put on the patches found in sub's sticky thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...arted-info I happened to fall upon this thread which i can't decide whether it was posted early or later that the overall patches. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...er-changes BUT either way, when i replace my NShared.dll with the file in this thread (over the patched NShared.dll version), my livetv buffer stops when it is suppose to and starts when it is suppose to. The problem goes away. Channel changes still take too long.... but that is for another of subs magical days. Can someone tell me that I am not going mad |
