LiveTV Freezes Are Back on Clients

I tried a third time and same exact scenario, but it went 1/2 an hour longer. The problem seems to be linked to the zero byte return as the last one.

For those last two log, stopping the recording service has left the device open and I need to reboot to get it to work.

Yes, give it a go, though I'm primarily interested in feedback from non-HDHR Prime users like smajor, since I suspect any Prime issue will be something different.

Hi sub, attached is a log file of the freeze while streaming from an HDHomeRun Prime unit. I had to run it 3 times to get a freeze but it finally did.

I ended the streaming by pressing ESC on my PC client (Win 7 Pro x64). The client log file is attached as well as the most recent NRecord.log file. All the setup log messages are in the older NRecord log file at the 15:11:XX time mark.

Martin, here is a server patch you can try. It wont fix anything, but it adds some logging around the problem shown in your log.

I've had a few freezes while watching live TV even though I have no client machines - just a single installation. I suppose they might have been cable provider problems in my case, although the frozen image had no artifacts. It was possible to change channels via keyboard, although channel number entry did not appear on display. I searched for "live-WPTZDT" files but found nothing, so presume that they are client-only.

Question: Are there temporary files that I should be deleting, and what would the file path be under Vista?

For the first time since I can remember my hdpvr did not freeze on live tv after a good run 4+ hours, so very impressed
