The trouble is, with the aTV2, that once you enter in to X-NEWA you cannot exit out back to the XBMC interface :-( actually once in the TV guide sorry you cannot exit out with an aTV2 remote....

I forgot that atv2 remote was so bad, but I thought it had a back/esc key like my Pivos xs I added an exit on the context menu in 1.4.7 for atv users.

nope....it's menu key is it's 'back' key...

working okay on my Windows box with the same setup as I have a return and exit key mapped differently....but I don't have that option (that I know of) on the ATV2...

BTW, everything else is working great now....just can't escape the TV Guide once in ;-)

Great what audio codec and pre-buffer did you end up using?

Just ended up using LAN for bit rate, 0.5 for scale and then a default setting of H264/MP4A/MPEG-TS....it gives me near perfect picture quality for all channels without buffering/stuttering and audio works...

Just need to know how to extra out of the TV Guide on X-NEWA, at the moment once I am in I have no choose but to pull the power code on the atv2 once I am in X-NEWA TV Guide and then wish to go out...

When you hit menu in x-newa on the guide you should get a popup as shown. In 1.4.7 I added the first choice

Hi Martin,

Just got home, just to let you know when I click and hold the Menu button the menu with Pick date: comes up....however it only allows me to pick a date, such as Saturday, Sunday etc...in other words the "Exit Guide" option isn't present for me...I am using Quartz3 as my Skin so I am not sure if that is the reason? Unfortunately it's the best skin for an aTV2 - speed/stability and wife/parents/child acceptance factor....and less nagging..

Are you sure you have 1.4.7 and not 1.46? x-newa uses it's own ui and build that menu so I don't think it is related.
